Technical Questions


Do I need to logout from each course or library resource session?

Yes, because 1) it will prevent you from login into another computer and 2) other personnel can access your account and interfere with your progress. When you are ready to end your VBI session select ‘Logout’ option located on the top right-hand side of each page.







Can I access VBI’s courses and learning library without being online?

No, VBI’s courses are interactive thereby providing instant feedback on questions, as well as videos, illustrations, animations and access to many other online resources.




However, VBI’s courses can be printed so that you have the ability to review or reference the materials when you are not connected to the internet.


I have paid and received a username and password, however I am unable to log in?

Please check your internet setting on your web browser to make sure that your browsers is refreshing to a new web page.

 Internet Explorer:

a.      Select ‘Tools’ from the web browser tool bar

b.      From the drop down menu select ‘Internet options

c.      Select the ‘General’ tab

d.      Within the ‘Browsing History’ section click the ‘Delete’ button

                                                                                     i.      This will bring you to the ’Delete Browsing History’ section

                                                                                    ii.      Click ‘Delete all’ button on the bottom of the screen

This could take up to 1 minute, depending on how often you perform this function

e.       Next within the ‘Browsing History’ section click the ‘Settings’ button

f.       Select ‘Every time I visit the webpage’

                      g.      Click ‘OK’ button

 

Internet Mozilla Fierfox

   a.       Select ‘Tools’ from the web browser tool bar

 b.      From the drop down menu select ‘Options

c.       Select the ‘Privacy’ tab

d.      Within the ‘Private Data’ section click the ‘Settings’ button

                                                                                     i.      This will bring you to the ’Clear Private Data’ section

                                                                                    ii.      Place a check within each box

                                                              iii.      Click ‘OK’ button

e.       Within the ‘Private Data’ section click the ‘Clear Now’ button

This could take up to 1 minute, depending on how often you perform this function

f.       Next within the ‘Browsing History’ section click the ‘OK’ button

g.      Select ‘Every time I visit the webpage

h.      Click ‘OK’ button

What type of software do I require to participate in VBI’s online courses and online learning library?

VBI’s website and courses are optimized for Internet Explorer version 8 or higher, Mozilla Firefox version 3.6 or higher and Safari 5. Videos are viewed with Flash version 10.0 or higher.
